**Community requested Arbitrum Foundation to return 700 million ARB tokens to the DAO Treasury** This came after the Arbitrum Foundation made a transfer without community approval in March. following controversial governance proposal AIP-1, which proposes to raise operating capital through 750 million $ARB tokens worth ~$1 billion. According to the proposal, the fund should only continue its budget plan after returning the tokens. This is considered a symbolic gesture to show that the governance owners ultimately control the DAO. To get to the decision, voters will vote and the results will be announced on April 14. Currently, the proposal has been supported by 55% of voters, 42% opposed and 2% abstained.
