## Recently, iPhone again surpassed Samsung phones in the satisfaction survey. Along with looking at wireless carrier satisfaction, the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) shared the latest data on how consumers feel about smartphones. This year, Apple’s iPhone “beat” Samsung to take the crown of satisfaction. ASCI data also shows that people are as satisfied with their iPhones as soft drinks and sneakers. Last fall, Apple’s Macs and iPads earned the highest ratings for customer satisfaction, with Samsung trailing close behind. In its latest survey, ASCI interviewed 15,881 consumers over a year, from April 2022 to March 2023. Apple just overtook Samsung as the brand that makes customers most satisfied when using smartphones. iPhone owner satisfaction is up 1% year over year to 81 points – just 1 point higher than Samsung phones. Google is in third place with 78 points while Motorola is fourth with 75 points. Along with that, the 5G smartphone models of both Apple and Samsung scored 81 points of satisfaction. On the other hand, iPhone models that do not support 5G connectivity scored 78 points while Samsung phones that do not support 5G only scored 74 points. To sum up, the overall “mobile phone”/smartphone category scored 79 points for satisfaction.
